Summary
Version 2.0.0 keeps alarm account IDs known during planning and updates RDS slow-query record counting. It marks the slow-query alarm migration as a breaking upgrade.
Changes
- Kept alarm account IDs known during planning.
- Counted actual RDS slow-query records.
- Marked the slow-query alarm migration as a breaking upgrade.
Breaking changes
- Slow-query alarms now use RDSSlowQueryCount instead of the duration metric.
- Add the documented moved block before applying to preserve an existing alarm. Without it, Terraform destroys and recreates an alarm with the same AWS name.
- The PostgreSQL default changes from SampleCount with threshold 7 to Sum with threshold 5.
- Review duration-based overrides. An explicit statistic value of count still uses SampleCount and includes zero samples. Use sum to count qualifying query records.
Upgrade impact
Review the slow-query alarm migration before upgrading. Add the documented moved block, review any duration-based overrides, and confirm the intended PostgreSQL statistic and threshold.
Verification
The release does not prescribe a verification procedure. Review the Terraform plan and validate the retained alarm, the RDSSlowQueryCount metric, and the selected statistic and threshold in a controlled environment before applying the change through your normal deployment controls.
